When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation’.
— 1 Corinthians 14:26

rise

Rise is our weekly prayer gathering which you can join from the comfort of your own home, 7.30am every Thursday morning over Zoom.

pause and pray

Psalm 46.10 encourages us to 'Be still and know that I am God' and yet so often in the week it can be go, go, go, with not much room for being still with God. As we look to go deeper in our prayer lives we want to be able to stop more, be still and re-centre ourselves in God's presence. Therefore, we're encouraging everyone to 'Pause and Pray' on Thursdays at midday.

Wherever you find yourself, whether it's at work, at home, studying, running errands or out shopping, take a moment in our everyday lives to be still and pray however you would like and for however long you would like to. As you do, you can know that other Mariners folk are doing the same thing around Gloucester. At this time there will also be someone pausing and praying in the Mariners chapel, if you ever want to join them then please do.

encounter evenings

Encounter is a time set aside on the first Sunday evenings of the month at 7pm to worship and pray together, with no set agenda and with space to listen to the Lord and share what He is saying to us. As it says in 1 Cor 14: 26: 'When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation'.
